Download Your Videos
We use Vimeo to deliver videos to our clients. Vimeo’s highly developed UI/UX allows our customers to easily review the various revisions of each video throughout the editing process. When it’s time to deliver a final version, Vimeo makes it easy to download the file(s). You received an email from your Digital Vendetta account manager with a link to a Vimeo page containing the final version of your video. If you misplaced the link, we can send it again, just ask!
Downloading a video from Vimeo to your computer:
Locate the email with the link to the final version of the video on Vimeo, and click the link to open the Vimeo page.
On the Vimeo page, below the video and title, click the down-arrow download icon. A pop-up dialogue will open with options to download the various sizes of the video. Below is a guide to help choose which size you need to download:
240p - Automatically generated by Vimeo, we don't recommend you download this file.
360p - Automatically generated by Vimeo, we don't recommend you download this file.
540p - Automatically generated by Vimeo, we don't recommend you download this file.
720p - Automatically generated by Vimeo, we don't recommend you download this file.
1080p - This is a compressed HD 1080p version of the file. The file size is much smaller than the original, this is the recommended version for INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK.
1440p - This is a 2.5k version of the file. Bigger and better than HD, but not 4k.
2160p - This is a compressed version of the 4k master file. This file will be smaller in size, but shows very little visual difference from the original.
Original - This is the original, full-resolution master version of the file. We recommend you download this file for safekeeping. Copy and store it on more than one physical drive. For example, a thumb drive and your computer's hard drive. This is the recommended version for YOUTUBE, VIMEO, or any other video service that accepts and plays 4K video.
Once you have chosen a size to download, you will need to choose a location on your computer to save the file. From there you can post it to your YOUTUBE, VIMEO, FACEBOOK, or any other online platform.
